Denver South Transportation Management Association (TMA) is proud to announce and welcome Sheryl Machado as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. In her role Sheryl will be responsible for the organization’s communications, government relations and community outreach efforts. 
Sheryl joins the Denver South TMA team with over two decades of experience in Colorado’s transportation sector focusing heavily on media and stakeholder relations, communications, coalition building and public information. Sheryl brings with her a wealth of knowledge regarding Colorado’s public and private sectors, government entities and managing public-involvement programs in varied transportation based, large-scale projects and more. 
Sheryl comes to the TMA from GBSM in Denver where she worked as a Senior Associate for three years. With GBSM she specialized in media outreach and strategy, public involvement and grass roots programs working with clients including The City and County of Denver, The Regional Transportation District (RTD), The City of Greenwood Village, E-470, Jefferson Parkway, CDOT and many others. Prior to this she worked with RTD on the Southeast Rail Extension and various FasTracks projects, as well as a public relations manager leading engagement for projects including the US 36 Express Lanes, State Highway 58 and I-70, Ridge Gate Parkway and the Milton E. Proby project in Colorado Springs.
